Nikwax TX.Direct Spray-On is a high-performance waterproofing treatment for breathable rainwear. It renews the garment’s Durable Water Repellency—or DWR—helping rain bead and roll off the outer fabric while maintaining its ability to release moisture vapour.

Unlike a wash-in treatment, the spray-on formula can be applied directly to high-wear areas such as shoulders, elbows, cuffs and seams. It is particularly suitable for waterproof garments with moisture-wicking linings, as it treats the outer fabric without affecting the lining’s performance.

TX.Direct Spray-On develops its water-repellent finish as the garment air dries, so no tumble drying or heat activation is required. Its water-based formula is non-flammable, aerosol-free and PFAS-free.

How to use:

1. Clean the garment first using Nikwax Tech Wash. Do not use conventional detergent or fabric conditioner.

2. Leave the clean garment wet and protect the surrounding work surface from overspray.

3. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.

4. Hold approximately 15cm from the garment and spray evenly across the outer surface.

5. Apply additional product to high-wear areas such as shoulders, elbows, cuffs and seams.

6. Leave for five minutes, then remove any surplus product with a clean, damp cloth.

7. Air dry, or tumble dry on a low setting only when permitted by the garment’s care label.
